MINH NGUYEN

Minh earned his Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota after completing his undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. His curiosity about urban nature degradation urges him to keep exploring and finding solutions for refining open spaces for people and bringing everyone back to nature. His capstone project for the graduate program aimed to rejuvenate the streetscape of Broadway Avenue in North Minneapolis by repurposing empty parking spaces as open spaces to embrace the community’s cultures and connect people together, while also addressing the urban heat island issue by reintroducing vegetation and trees to the streets to reduce extreme heat. As a goal to become a valuable team member, he always tries his best to learn from others, which helps him improve his skill sets and produce effective work.
