The site is organized around a reflecting pool and a singular circular garden, which is 75 feet in diameter. The lawn garden is sited adjacent to the reflecting pool and helps to frame the landscape by borrowing the views of the lake in the distance. This garden is back-dropped by a perennial garden and defined at its perimeter by a 6-foot high evergreen hedge, which helps to articulate the space as an outdoor room. The garden is designed to be used on an individual level or hold a party of 250. During large events, a custom designed tent structure is placed in the center of the lawn to provide relief from the sun. A garden wall is located at the transition point between the western garden and the pool area. The wall is accented with a bosque of lindens, which are pleached and shaped into rectangles. This formal transitional space helps to balance the active and passive spaces of the site. The pool is designed to quietly reflect when not in use. Flanking the pool deck to the east is a formal outdoor sitting area with a trellis. The trellis is sited to take advantage of the lake and garden views in the distance.
