david motzenbecker
associate, ASLA, RLA

David joined oslund.and.assoc. after receiving his MLA from the University of Minnesota in May of 2001. David's involvement on projects ranges from campus master planning to detailed residential design. His interest in design and abilities in creative writing and graphic design have proven to be an invaluable resource. Drawing on this unique combination of creative writing and design skills, David has helped to produce many of the master plans for our clients, as well as proposals and marketing materials for the firm. His thoroughness and attention to detail has been the cornerstone to the success of our award-winning master plans and project management. David's professional interest in the public landscape finds him involved in a wide variety of public policy forums. In 2005 he was honored with the H.W.S. Cleveland Award for Leadership Potential in Landscape Architecture by the local chapter of the ASLA. His current position as President of the Minneapolis City Planning Commission and his ability to influence the design of public places in Minneapolis has been an asset to the city as a whole.
